Beginning October 5, 2026 and continuing through October 10, 2026 the Bedminster Municipal Authority will be flushing water lines in the water distribution system. Flushing will occur during the hours of 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

This routine maintenance is performed to remove naturally occurring sediment from the water distribution system, verify proper operation of fire hydrants, and help maintain high water quality throughout the system.

Customers may experience:

• Temporary reductions in water pressure.
• Slight discoloration of water.
• Cloudy or rusty-colored water.

If discoloration occurs, residents are advised to run cold water from a faucet for several minutes until the water clears. Customers should avoid washing laundry if discolored water is present, as staining may occur.

Although the water remains safe to drink, flushing activities may temporarily affect water appearance and pressure.

The Authority appreciates your patience and cooperation as we perform this important maintenance work to ensure the continued reliability and quality of the public water supply.

Beginning on Monday 8/10/26 the Pennland Farms Wastewater Treatment Plant was approved to start discharging effluent. The plant is now functioning as designed and will no longer require all plant flow to be trucked offsite for treatment. We will still continue to haul wasted sludge offsite as we always have, however these trucks will be intermittent and not a daily occurrence. We understand that the truck traffic was disruptive to the residents who live in the surrounding neighborhoods and appreciate all of your tolerance during the time we were unable to discharge. We will continue to address operational issues as they arise in the manner that will have the least impact on the residents.

Due to an equipment malfunction causing a loss of pressure, Bedminster Square residents are under a boil water advisory. A boil water advisory is required by PADEP any time that a water system experiences a drop in system pressure below a minimum threshold. A loss in positive pressure is a signal of the existence of a condition that could allow contamination to enter the distribution system through back-flow, back-pressure, or back-siphonage. As a result there is an increased chance that water may contain disease causing organisms. The Bedminster Authority advises that all water that will be consumed be boiled for at least one minute before being used.

The residents of Bedminster Square is under a boil water advisory until passing bacteriological test results are received and we notify you that advisory is no longer in effect.
